ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ATTENTION!!!!
The Tygarts Valley Conservation District is not accepting any further applications this spring for the Agricultural Enhancement Program: Lime, Invasive Species, or Fertilizer as all funding has been allocated.
However, we do encourage you to get your soil samples current so that you will be ready for fall signups. If you need soil samples taken,
please contact the district office to be placed on the list. (304)457-3026
Also, please check back with us after July 1 to see what BMP’s (Best Management Practices) are available.

| Century Farm Applications Availabe - 2/12/13 |

The West Virginia Century Farm Program is designed to recognize those families who have been farming the same tract of land for at least 100 years.
A Century Farm is one that has been in continuous operation by the same family for 100 years or more. A family member must live on the farm or must be an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the farm enterprise. The farm must consist of at least 10 acres of the original holdings and gross more than $1,000 annually from farm products.
Line of ownership from the first family member owning the land may be through wives, husbands, children, brothers, nephews, or nieces.
Applications are due to the office no later than April 1, 2013.
