|Fitzsimmons receives 2018 Carroll Greene Award - 10/24/18|

Mark Fitzsimmons, a conservation district supervisor for the Northern Panhandle Conservation District, received the 2018 Carroll Greene Award during this year’s West Virginia Conservation Awards and Recognition Luncheon in Flatwoods on Oct. 16.
The annual award is given to a person who exhibits exemplary service and dedication to the cause of soil and water resource conservation. Greene served as executive secretary to the State Soil Conservation Committee from 1949 to 1979.
Fitzsimmons received the award at the luncheon from Shirley Hyre, an Elk Conservation District supervisor and the 2017 Carroll Greene Award winner.
