DEP Jr. Conservation Camp - 3/23/22

The DEP Jr. Conservation Camp has been in existence since 1981.  The overnight camp offers a wide variety of classes that will enhance knowledge of the environment and enable them to become good stewards of our natural resources.  Classes include forestry, wildlife, photography, archery, water study, recycling, hunter education, fishing, and many others.  Sports activities include basketball, kickball, volleyball, and more.

Camp takes place at Cedar Lakes Conference Center, Ripley, WV June 20 - 24, 2022.

WV State Conservation Camp Brochure - 3/23/22

The WV State Conservation Camp strives to increase the awareness of youth in WV concerning the states natural resources and to instruct them in the wise use and management of those resources.  Campers are exposed to programming covering four broad natural resources topic areas including forests, wildlife & fisheries, nature and recreation, and water and soils.  All activities are set in an overnight camp environment and include opportunities for new experiences in outdoor recreation and tradition camping activities such as campfires and other group activities.

This year's camp session runs June 13 - 17, 2022.
