CAIRO, W.Va. -- WVCA engineers and watershed technicians have been working with the Little Kanawha Conservation District and contractors to install a debris boom at the North Fork of the Hughes River dam at North Bend State Park in Ritchie County.

The boom will prevent woody debris from clogging the dam's riser structure.
